Television Advertisement from Product to Brand

A product offered by a big brand has it’s brothers and sisters too for covering all kind of requirements for the target audience. There are minor differences between these same kind of products coming from one brand serving almost similar needs in terms of price and target audience. If we take the case of face wash it is oily skin and dry skin. Does this concept of launching similar products by a same brand leads to cannibalism? Or brands are too smart that if consumer doesn’t like one kind then he can go for other type and brand benefits by selling two units within less time as compared to estimated selling two units one after another? If there is such a case would brand really get benefits because of some loss in it’s image?

Yes, it can happen. Some loss due to a product not being liked by a consumer. So, how they are tackling it? There has come a change in the way the ads are being shown. Many brands have adopted this technique. When an ad is being shown or at the end of an advertisement brand name is being shown which offers other products. This kind of brand advertisement help new products in getting consumer attention and present the brand with many products as a reliable one. People tends to believe more and relate one product of that brand which is good to the new product or with other product of the brand.
