Recently, a new feature was added to Gmail Signatures. This feature was demanded by many Gmail users – The Rich Text Editor for signatures in Gmail settings.
Now, if a user wants to add an image into his signatures there are few ways this can be done.
First one is to enable Gmail labs Image add feature. By enabling this feature from Gmail Labs you can add an image from a URL (currently you can’t browse and upload it from your Computer).
Next, you can host your image some where on the web and then you can directly drag and drop the image from there in to Signature box.
Now, when you want to add a link to this image then a border comes around this image. So, how to get rid of this border.
Before
In the first case you can’t get rid of the border.
But in second case you can get rid of the border.
After
When you are uploading image on a web server or on your site then in HTML coding img tag add border=’0′ and then drag and drop this new image.
You can also add image to a blog, Google Sites and then drag and drop it into Signature box.
What more you can do is to add a Title to these links/icons. When a user takes mouse over the link/icon, tip/title is shown. To add a title use title= in the a href tag in HTML coding.
Later
I have searched around and this solution works. I was just copying and pasting the file path into the image path but when I drag and dropped it everything worked perfect. I have my logo and no blue border. Thanks for posting this article!
