txtweb is popular among SMS based apps, but the mobile apps arena is still untapped. The question that straight comes to mind is that how SMS based apps could be taken as mobile apps. It could be good topic to talk about. Taking txtweb SMS based apps for the discussion, we can use them as Mobile Apps, if we (user) have some mechanism to do so. Let us first talk on what we need and then how we can do it.
What we need?
There are so many cool apps with great ideas on txtweb. We need a mobile based app where we can access these apps using internet rather than SMS. One will ask that txtweb brings web to SMS and you want to take it back to web. The answer is simple too. By bringing web to SMS, there is now a very good repository of SMS based apps for which mobile apps are not that good. So, taking these SMS based apps back to mobile using web where a user doesn’t need to download a separate mobile app for every service he needs, but just one, the txtweb mobile apps. With this app, users will be able to send requests in the same way that they do using SMS. With mobile apps, things would be faster, much easier to access and without SMS cost. If one start searching for mobile based apps which would be similar to what we have on txtweb, one won’t find all such apps with so many options. And, if one finds some apps then he needs to download all mobile apps. With txtweb mobile apps it would be just one app.
How it can be done, the txtweb Mobile Apps?
If you search for one, it is available now also. It is good too, where one has the option to use it using internet or SMS. So, if you are using it using SMS then you have a better SMS screen option and if you are using it internet there is no SMS cost. Being said this, there is still a need of adding more features to make it more friendly and useful. Some features that can be added to it would be remembering last few apps used, last few requests send, last few responses received (to browse through them again), a section to save my favorite apps, a section for my frequently used apps and to get details of app from txtweb app profile page. Another feature which this app lacks is linking of mobile number with this app. There should be an option where user creates an account with this app and updates his mobile number. Txtweb will then send a verification code and user needs to enter it to confirm his/her mobile number. With this, requests will be treated as coming from a mobile number rather than a emulator and scope of using such apps on txtweb would also be possible now using a mobile based app.
